A Night of Molam, Grilled Sticky Rice, and Isan Tradition
On February 28, Bangkok Island came alive with the rhythmic sounds of Molam, the rich flavors of Isan cuisine, and the joyful energy of guests celebrating the first-ever Lab Sieb concert on a cruise. Under the theme of “Boon Khao Jee”, this event honored an age-old Isan tradition while bringing together music, culture, and local delicacies on the scenic waters of the Chao Phraya River.
A Floating Festival of Isan Culture
From the moment guests arrived at Wat Chanyawat Pier, the atmosphere was filled with excitement. As everyone boarded, they were welcomed into a setting that blended the warmth of Isan hospitality with the lively spirit of a festival. With a limited 240 tickets available, this exclusive event created an intimate yet vibrant celebration for Molam lovers and cultural enthusiasts alike.
The highlight of the night was The All-Thidsa Molam Band, known for its seamless fusion of traditional Molam and contemporary sounds. The energy soared even higher with special guest performers Bow Dum Lam Sing and Molam Thong Oat Dao Khanong, both bringing their signature performances to the cruise. With the river as the backdrop and the beats of Molam echoing through the night, guests couldn’t help but dance and immerse themselves in the electrifying atmosphere.

The Taste of Isan on the River
More than just a music event, the Isan Boat Party was a culinary journey that paid tribute to the flavors of the Northeast. The signature dish of the evening was grilled sticky rice (Khao Jee), made from carefully selected rice strains curated by Rice Hub. This traditional snack, prepared to perfection, was paired with local rice wine (Sato) from Devanom, offering a true taste of Isan heritage.
To complement the experience, every guest received a complimentary Singha beer, adding to the festive mood as they enjoyed the performances, socialized, and embraced the laid-back yet lively setting.

A Night to Remember
As the boat cruised along the Chao Phraya River, guests danced, sang, and celebrated under the stars. The event schedule ensured a smooth and immersive experience, starting with a 6:00 PM check-in, leading into an energetic Molam performance at 6:30 PM, and setting sail at 7:00 PM for an evening filled with music, dancing, and unforgettable moments. The boat returned to the pier at 11:00 PM, concluding a night that left everyone wanting more.

The Isan Boat Party: Molam Vibes and Grilled Sticky Rice was a truly unique experience, merging cultural tradition with modern entertainment on Bangkok’s most scenic stage—the Chao Phraya River. With the perfect blend of live music, authentic cuisine, and an enthusiastic crowd, this event was a night of celebration, connection, and pure Isan energy.
